Energy Entertainments started in Ibiza spain in 2008. The journey leading up to this point and the journey after has been full of adventure, struggle and fulfilment.
Neal Webb’s story
I have been studying the art of Kung Fu and Yoga for the past 11 years which has kept me active and grounded. Baton Twirling, Poi, Kung Fu, Juggling and dance have also contributed while surfing, football, basketball and any other sport I play helps as well. I have always liked being a team member as I know the importance of a tight group and when a team gels the possibilities are endless.
I now spend my time choreographing shows for various clients and organising performers to create a very special and captivating show as one.
I originally started working as a plumber and began to take on projects with teams of skilled laborers but once qualified, I had a desire to travel the world. I embarked on various plumbing projects throughout the years but when each project was finished I would pack my bag and travel the world. I spent a lot of time trekking through New Zealand, venturing through the deserts and wilderness of Australia, climbing the Himalayan mountains, venturing through the chaos of India and Nepal, soaking up the wonders of Japan and South East Asia, finding my way through the safest parts of the Middle East and then began searching the world for the best Scuba dive spots. The Ningaloo reef in Western Australia wins hands down in my opinion.
After many years of traveling around the world embarking on crazy adventures I found myself working in the Philippines as a scuba dive master. My role was to plan various dives for groups of clients that came to the island. I worked closely with the captain of the boat and his crew while organising other dive masters to look after the group of guests under and above the water. We arranged entertainment and food for the evenings and lived the good life.
After this chapter I moved to Ibiza Spain and set up an entertainments company. Choreographing themed shows, performing at high-end events, began stage management and creating fitness programs in Kung fu, Yoga and Gymnastics, I didn’t have much time to party in the world’s most famous clubs and bars, so I performed for them instead.
I now run an entertainments company in Australia which specialise in fire and glow entertainment, I also create workshops for all ages and clients. Over the past 2 years I have performed intricate shows and taught behind the scenes in various productions around Australia such as
-
Warner Brothers Movie World
-
Suns AFL Metricon Stadium
-
Woodford festival
-
Swell Sculpture Festival
-
Spender In The Grass
& many more events and private functions.
I began teaching workshops for children in schools and after school clubs. I found an amazing satisfaction and fulfilment in teaching children and watching them achieve. I explained in the class “By mastering the smallest techniques in this workshop, we are able to apply the skills learnt to everyday life and add them to whatever discipline we choose to do in the future” The harder we try the more we get out!
Once I began teaching adults the possibilities were endless. I found I could go deeper into the explanation of
-
Body mechanics
-
Posture in movement
-
Day to day benefits of Tai Chi warm ups
-
Intricate tricks & techniques with equipment
-
Creative movement
